Stacy Marie My Lady Freyja, I dedicate all of my work to you.

This is a very moving and intensely personal experience, but I felt moved to share so please forgive me if I am vague with some of the details. Several years ago I found myself in what I will simply term as the darkest and most unpleasant place I have ever been in my life. I was broken and felt helpless. At the absolute bottom of this pit I had made of my life I had nothing… I remember very clearly being in a heap on the floor and feeling her presence, the presence of Freyja, warm, glowing and v… Continue

Stacy Marie Disappointment

Today I am quoting Garilla Zoe "I am following the Wise but thier walking in pampers." So in my quest for knowledge I come and go in many online circles and groups...always hoping to find an enlightened few to converse and share with in addition to Temple Zenith. Time and time again I find frustration and disappointment. In my newest such venture I have found interesting individuals some of which seem to have genuine knowledge and genuine practice...ahh such a breath of fresh air. And then it h… Continue

Stacy Marie What flavor of Witch am I ?

My own...just as you should be your own. First and foremost let me say that I am well schooled in Gardnerian style Wicca (educated not initiated). I include the history of Gardner in my curricula and I am grateful and well aware of the impact his work has had on both the Wiccan and Pagan communities at large, although really it has been more the work of Doreen Valiente then Gardner in my opinion. With that being said my personal flavor of Wicca is not Gardnerian at all. And I am far more comfort… Continue

Stacy Marie The Wispy people and Monsters

My daughter is three and she has begun to draw interesting pictures of round and “furry” creatures she calls “Monsters”. I stopped myself short of telling her monsters aren’t real. I had to stop myself. My maternal instinct wanted to assure her all was well in her world and that there was nothing to feel fear from in her own bedroom. The Witch in me demanded I handle it from an approach other than denial. I assured her that nothing that wanted to cause her harm was going to be able to get into h… Continue

Stacy Marie A Monday Night Broom Funeral

Have you ever noticed that the things we use to banish or remove negativity become changed in some way after prolonged use? The turquoise turns a dull ugly green color, the broom begins to look ratty and tattered. Well, my old broom had seen better days. I purchased a new one to replace it several weeks ago and slowly began to strip the old one of all its glory, moving my handfasting cord to the new one, the feathers, the ribbon. Now my old broom was the one y husband and I jumped at our handfas… Continue

Stacy Marie A glimpse into the mind and life of a Wiccan High Priestess

So, I have been reading the articles on Witches Voice this week and they got me thinking...What are my real motives for being a Wiccan High Priestess, thus teacher? For one my guides and Patron Deities have hounded me to no end that this is what I am supposed to do. While the term "draging me kicking and screaming" may not be wholly appropriate it is not all together off the mark either. At least that was true at first. I have never been a "social butterfly", I was pretty content being Solitary,… Continue

Stacy Marie Topsy turvy

Sometimes in order for us to continue to grow we must take everything we think we know and turn it upside down. Some things stick, and that is good. But of the things that do not "stick", if we are careful and able to see with open eyes, these things will lead us down the paths that stretch and grow our spirits the most. At times it is good to try things differnt ways or even to try things the opposite way you normally would, topsy turvy and see what sticks and follow what does not to see where… Continue

Nadette Yule tide

Also posted on my blog at http://aeshe.blogspot.com/ Ok I think that I am doomed to ever have all my plans for Sabbaths fall through, if I make them. Well this Sabbath I must say was hella interesting. It all really started on Friday the 20th, the day that my boyfriend, who is a Marine and stationed in Southern California, was due to fly in. Well if you live in Washington, then you are well aware of the turn the weather took shortly after three on Friday. When it rains it pours and that… Continue

Stacy Marie Ingredients of Life

Just as a tree needs sunlight, water and nutrients from the soil to feed all of its parts and grow ever toward the center of the Earth and reach ever toward the Sun...So does humankind need to interect with energy and experience varying degrees of both Love and Strife to feed all of our parts and help us grow. Everything that happens in your life contributes to who you are as a whole, everything is precious. Every single person contributes to the whole of humanity, everyone is special. Every sin… Continue

Stacy Marie What it is to be a Witch

Knowing some of the secret keys to life is recognizing energy and the patterns they make. Energy as Heka; as in little divine atoms and molecules...on a quantum level...cosmic rays with quarks and gluons...the web of wyrd. It is further to be able to interpret them, to foretell of their twists and turns as they manifest...pattern. Then to be able to ride or use this Heka. To be able to have your hand in the pattern. To change the ebb and flow, the weft and waft with purpose and focus to weave wh… Continue

Stacy Marie The Subtleties of Life

The subtleties of life..The knowledge of the web of life, feeling the threads of your own fate, seeing the threads of life as a whole, seeing yourself as part of that...a contribution to the tapestry of an age. Guiding the warp and weft; recognizing the patterns and helping the weave, guiding it, flowing with it to make it stronger, tighter and more precise. These are the keys. like the plants I grow; I've come to know that any herb one uses in a spell is helpful. But, a life you care for, love… Continue

Stacy Marie The Now

Learning to live in the NOW, in the sense that you are capable of fully experiencing and appreciating the current moment in all of its glory and wonder. That is the best way to honor the Goddess and God within, that is when the true nature of divinity shines. Do not mistake this for something it is not...the "NOW" philosophy can and does get twisted. It is not an excuse for non action. Quite the opposite the way I see it. It is something that occurs within the everyday routine of things and from… Continue

Stacy Marie Simplicity

"The study of a simple rose blossom, blade of grass, veined leaf or the wistle of the wind through leafy trees will reveal as much, if not more, concerning the true nature of magic than will a hundred dusty Renaissance tomes" ~From "Earth Power" by Scott Cunningham Continue

Stacy Marie Where did the name Temple Zenith and Zenithian originate?

Way back when I was a youngun' the first magckal name I took was Zenith. I have noticed a pattern in my own practice, things that are very powerful for me are things I draw on from my childhood. I personally think that naming a tradition or magickal system after ones own legal name is kind of egotistical, since at least in my case I have a lot of Divine and astral help. Besides my married and my maiden name dont translate well into a catchy sounding title. LOL So when I was thinking about a name… Continue

Stacy Marie Are you ready for Magick?

When you are at a point when you can say, "I know certain things happen for a reason by nature and pattern; inspite of that knowledge I want to plunge my hands into creation and set a course for myself." Then, and only then are you ready to cast spells. It is important to realize that casting spells is probably close to about 25% of what most Witches and Wiccan do, if not less. Walking this path is about reconnecting and aligning with the magick of life...seeing, feeling, breathing and merging w… Continue

Stacy Marie WICCA, WICCE, WICCAN

WICCA, WICCE, WICCAN Almost without exception, Pagans are intelligent, thinking people. Paganism is a way of life that makes these demands. And yet, because of severe Christian suppression, so many of the Old Ways have been perverted. We must look in many directions to unearth the roots all Pagans consider their legacy. One of the most interesting methods of researching our roots is Etymology. For, indeed, an understanding of our literary heritage is vital. It is unfortunate that so often this… Continue

Stacy Marie Zenithian views - Deity

*Note I have previously published these views in Witches Voice under the name "An Island Amidst a Sea of Deity", I have expanded and cleaned up the original here. The All, Tao, Great Spirit, Brahman, the unnamable, Being…. That supreme elusive creative force from which all things are but mere reflections of. Some find it difficult to fully understand and embrace the purpose of so many attributes of the “One” personified into hundreds of thousands of deities. It is easy to drown individual purpos… Continue
