The Full Moons

November- Snow moon
Winter begins; this is time to get rid of negative thoughts and vibrations.
December- Oak Moon
It is a wonder that such a mighty creature can come from something as small as an acorn. Now is the time to remain steadfast in convictions and principals.
January- Wolf Moon
The Wolf moon is a time of protection and strength. While it is the first full Moon of the calendar year, in terms of nature it occurs in the middle of the cold winter season, a season of death and
desolation. In these respects, the Wolf Moon can be seen as a time of both beginnings and endings. This is the time to start to consider what you want to plant and plan for the spring.
February- Storm Moon
It is said that a storm rages most fiercely just before it ends and the year generally follows this pattern. This is the end of winter, death and darkness. It is now time o plan for the future and what you want to pursue in the months to come.
March- Chaste Moon
The Goddess returns as the maiden. This marks the official end of winter and uncertainly, now is the time to plant seeds of desire.
April- Seed Moon
Spring and growth is in the air. This is the time of sowing seeds of a spiritual or physical nature and to physically put our desires into action.
May- Hare Moon
The hare is sacred to the goddess, fertility and springtime. Let your creative desires take over revealing in the blossoming of life around us, now is time to reaffirm our goals.
June- Dyad Moon
Dyad refers to the twin stars Castor and Pollux. This is a time of equality, union of opposites and duality. A time to seek balance between our physical and spiritual desires.
July- Mead Moon
Our European ancestors favored Mead as a beverage of choice. And now is when they would work to preserve crops for wine and ale making for winter and future use. Now is the time to plan for what we will do when we reach our goals.
August- Wort Moon
Wort is the Anglo Saxon term for herb. This is the first harvest and time to celebrate and continue working toward our goals. Plans for preserving what we have already attained should be considered.
September- Barley Moon
This is the great harvest, a time for celebration and realization of desired goals.
October- Blood Moon
This moon began the season of hunting and the slaughter of animals for winter food and clothing by our ancestors. Blood is life force. Now is the time to offer up the reddest of wine in thanksgiving to the goddess for what we have attained
